It’s a great day to be a Deftones fan! The eclectic rock band have announced the track listing for their hugely anticipated seventh full-length, ‘Koi No Yokan.’ Not only that, but Deftones are offering the new track ‘Leathers’ as a free download with no catch whatsoever on the band’s website. It also can be heard in the player below.
After the acclaim that the band’s 2010 album ‘Diamond Eyes’ received, it’s no shock when we tell you ‘Leathers’ is a great song. The track mixes the band’s ambient nature with distorted aggression, all-embracing vocals and a host of other addictive qualities. ‘Leathers’ is successful in proving that Deftones are still rich with ideas and possess a wealth of prospective gold to present to all who will listen.
Deftones announced the release of ‘Leathers’ on their Facebook page earlier today (Sept. 19):
“Deftones are pleased to announce the premiere of “Leathers” from their forthcoming album KOI NO YOKAN exclusively at Deftones.com. The track is also available as a free download for a limited time, so act fast!”
Do yourself a favor and get your free download of ‘Leathers’ from the official Deftones website, and prepare yourself for the release of ‘Koi No Yokan’ on Nov. 13.
Black Country Communion, the supergroup comprised of Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Jason Bonham, Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and Joe Bonamassa, have released ‘Confessor,’ the first single from their upcoming album, ‘Afterglow.’ The disc will be released on Oct. 30.
‘Afterglow,’ their third album in as many years, was produced by Kevin Shirley, who also helmed their previous two efforts. The record’s 11 tracks were recorded in a whirlwind five-day session. It is also likely to be their last. Earlier in the month, Hughes said that Bonamassa’s busy solo career has prevented the band from going on the road.
However, Hughes has already begun another project with some heavy hitters, forming the Kings of Chaos with Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott and two former members of Guns N’ Roses, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. The band hopes to tour exotic locales and record EPs consisting of both covers and original material.
Fans can download ‘Confessor’ for free from the band’s website in exchange for their e-mail address.
